Such a powerful scene. I looked into it and the scene is based on an interview Cus D'amato gave in 1985 where he was talking about Tyson. I know they did it in tribute but they pretty much copied it word for word. Again great scene, shytty movie.

He was one of the best things out of that dumpster fire. Maybe it would have been a better movie had the sandman been that movies only villain. The cgi still looks good imo and the score is perfect.

Blame the studio, the director didn’t even want to complicate the film with 3 villains, Raimi only wanted sandman, sony wanted venom in the film and raimi himself said he didn’t research anything on venom

Venom was like poison to that movie. From what Raimi says the studio pushed for everything to be bigger and better than part 2. That includes them getting on his ass about putting venom in there too.
