i have had it since i was a kid. i used to tell my parents that songs sounded blue etc etc

its a beautiful thing.

anyone else have this.

i remember hearing kanye and pharell talking about it

some songs just have stong color to them. and i see the shapes of the drums and hi hats and synths

for example.

i know what you're talking about. i can tell if a song sounds blue or red or green. the piano loop and bassline in shook ones sounds green. h to the izzo sounds blue. incarcerated scarfaces sounds reddish. ice cream sounds like a yellow beat. shyts weird.

the doors sample doesn't sound blue at all to me. it sounds more light brown mixed with pink and red. more in that range. i can't hear any blueness to that record. a blue record would be like this...

i feel you. :laff: it's just kind of weird though and a bit annoying sometimes because the colors within a song kinda affect how the song is. like for example, i have like a slow version of the "ryder music" instrumental by 50 cent. the original pitch sounds like reddish, bright red or in the red realm. the color of a sound also determines if the song is depressing, dark, gritty, happy go lucky or whatever. the slow pitch version i have sounds white. it's something that you could play on a snowy day where it's bitterly cold and the skies are grey. it's very depressing on the slow pitch compared to the normal one where it sounds like a beat to chill out to where somebody's happy enough to stroll around BUT not too happy where they're jumping off the walls. sometimes the color of a song comes out more on certain times of day or certain weather conditions or around certain areas. it would be better to play incarcerated scarfaces in brooklyn on the BQE in the summertime during 2 o clock in the day than some cornfield in nebraska in the nighttime during november.

sometimes, the pitch in a song will sound faster than it is. like shook ones for example. sometimes the song will sound a little faster than how it normally is like say if you spin the vinyl on the turntables and pit the pitch on 0 on 33 1/3 speed. on that speed, it'll sound red to me. then when i listen to the infamous cd version of it, it'll sound green. it's kinda weird.

My professors who have perfect pitch talk about this. They know when a C is played because it "sounds white" I have this with drumlines I see mostly green, white, black, yellow, blue, and purple

yeah i heard about this coming about naturally as well as with taking hallucinogens.

this song does sound pretty blue imo as well.

synesthesia is quite a phenomenon. i've actually had my world tinted different colors depending on how i'm feeling. i've literally seen red.

daps to all

wierd how people associate the color of the music with the album cover

i wonder if artist and labels do this on purpose
