EE can lead into biomedical engineering. I don't think its a good idea to take EE courses online (if they even exist). One reason is, labs. The EE courses I took were heavily lab focused. Building various circuits and utilizing software such as labview and hardware like oscilloscopes to interpret data.

You should definitely check into taking your courses at a local college.

Corporate engineering can be boring as hell. But, if you just want to make good money, that's the way to go.

If you really want to be on the cutting edge in terms of innovation, I'd stick with university research labs, etc. But, the pay is lower.

You're not really going to get the combination of high pay + innovation unless you land a gig in one of the innovation labs at Apple, Google, Microsoft, Intel, etc.

Those jobs are typically reserved for PhD-level brehs.

This right here. I can't imagine an inline eng degree being accredited by abet.

Does anyone know anything about the Biomedical engineering masters program at NYU? I'm asking for my sister. Also, how is the job market for a black woman going into this field?

She's about to graduate with a degree in biotechnology and doesn't want to go to medical school
