You take the fe exam and do you mind sharing what type of job you have
YES.. been a PE since 2008. FE was 2005... took FE twice and PE 3 times

I work for the city now so I'm primarily power and lighting, CCTV and layered access
previous job was in R&D so i did schematic design then PCB design, then coding, prototyping and troubleshooting.

Ok, I’ve been studying for the fe exam hopefully it’s not to be and I can pass on the first try
I was curious about the job u have because I’ve been looking and it seems like it’s a bunch of manufacturing jobs that I really don’t have any interest in
You got any advanced degrees

ME with a background in HVAC design/management. I'm looking for a new non-mechanical or non-engineering career but my skillset feels a bit pigeonholed/non-marketable at this point. Any ideas for career transitions while having this background?

I’m always looking to hire PE level engineers: Mechanical/Electrical/Fire/Structural.
- no Civil at this time.

If any of you need work in the DMV area or have folks who are qualified let me know. Immediate hire opportunity no run around. You’d be dealing direct with me plus one other decision maker.

Currently looking to place an MEP manager at a local airport for a multi year project.

Nothing remote at this time but I will let you know if it changes. We’re trying to do more design. Right now we’re 80% third party inspections and QA/QC work.

Give me a rate per sheet/hrly rate and I’ll keep you in mind. We have some design contracts that are IDIQ but they never drop.

Nice. I’ll circle back next time we have a good project.

Edit: if you every create an IDIQ that doesn’t have local requirements let me know. And if it’s big enough we can get local credentials. We have 15-20 PEs and master trades people as full time employees right now. And we do commissioning.
