Ratchet and Clank is a third person shooter with a lot of platforming. It's mad fun too.

Aside from R&C, Infamous Second Son and Uncharted 4 are some suggestions. Also check out Puppeteer if you're into side scrolling platformers.

I played Ratchet & Clank, it was great. I like games Super Mario
Rayman is dope too.
Honestly even though Yooka Laylee reviews are kind of mixed I think it may appeal to you if you liked the Banjo Kazooie games on 64.
I want to play it still and I hear a patch is on the way to fix a few issues that reviewers had with it(camera and performance.)

I think i will get that that game. Its has like a 90% rating on Metacritic and its really cheap as well.
Rayman Legends is one of my favorite games, beat it twice, once on 360 and once on Xbox one
