My favorites are Psycho, Birds, Dial M For Murder, and Vertigo.

He mastered building suspense that made you tense for the characters.

Did you know the ending of the Birds was suppose to be a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge covered in crows. Both ending works for the Birds, because it keeps you wondering the fate of the characters.

For whatever reason I'm not a big fan of Vertigo. Just never hit me like that.

Besides Psycho, my favorites are Rope, Strangers On A Train and I Confess.

When I watched I Confess for the first time a few months ago, all I could think about was how much I wanted to write a remake of it. It's a great film that would make a great film today.

my favs are Rope, Dial M for Murder, Strangers on a Train

He's great at using a single setting in a lot of his films. i.e. Rope, Dial M for Murder and Rear Window.

Rope is all one running shot(or close to it)

James stewart must've loved being paid to sit his ass in a wheel chair all day for Rear Window

Hitch has too many classics

Rope is actually 10 shots I believe. He wanted to make it fewer, but film technology at the time limited him to like 20 minutes at a time....but he masked a lot of them by panning past an object on the screen and cutting there.

Great film though
