Any idea how this suggested friends/people you may know function works on Instagram and Facebook

I've been losing sleep because professors that I've never interacted with are appearing on my people you may know shyt. Why are they looking for me brehs? Did I do something wrong in class or what?

Plus chicks that were giving me the earlier this year that I've never spoken to. Are they visiting my profile?

Now this chick who's been playing games/teasing with me is permanently on my suggested users list on IG. I didn't add her and she didn't add me. I've looked at her friend's profile more than I did hers.

Anyone experiencing this?

Basically! If you ever sent a nikkah and email with the same email address that is registered with FB, they will show up if they have the same registered email address on their own facebook.

The same thing goes with phone numbers,if you ever called or text someone with the same number on their Facebook, they will pop up.

Now let's say you had someone check your page, they could show up, and if they check often enough, their friends might start to show up since it's connected like a chain. If you look at someone's profile often, then both them and the people who checkout their profile often will start appearing in yours.

Basically that shyte is fukking stupid and there is no way to turn it off. All you can do is X out a person who shows up in people you may know boxs.

They not looking or you, i've had a bunch of professors show up in my people you may know box because id emailed them late assignments or asking for extensions and what not...Next thing you know their world is colliding with yours on facebook
