Georgetown is not an Ivy. Neither is Stanford.I personally have not been to an ivy league school, they accept the top of the top, to get into schools like yale, stanford, harvard and georgetown you need serious high level grades and even then its not enough , its highly competitive
Point taken but they are very prestigious universities still very hard to get into at all. Georgetown literally has produced more US diplomats than any american university, US presidents etcGeorgetown is not an Ivy. Neither is Stanford.
Respect. My dad always wanted me to go to Cornell or MIT for engineering. He had those schools in my ear starting when I was 9 or 10. Cool seeing a brother on here that went. I made good grades but not good enough for that school.I went to Cornell (wayyy too long ago)
- Classes were difficult, but I actually came from a pretty tough HS, so the academics were not THAT daunting. The biggest difference was how competitive the students were. I remember during freshman year feeling like you didn't want to be the first kid to leave the library.
- As you can imagine, most of the black students were African/Carribean/etc, but most of them didn't care, so we all basically cliqued up, even if you went the greek route.
- There was also brothas/sistas who wanted nothing to do with us (~25%). You could often find them in white frats/sorors as the 'Token'.
- Dating black women was difficult because of the limited pool, but 'PAWGs' couldn't get enough of us.
- We often would go to other campuses (Cuse, Binghamton) for black events and cleaned up, as girls saw us as some mystical 'Ivy league' brotha's.
- That being said, I am married to a beautiful black woman whom I dated my senior year
Not to mention having an elite law school.Point taken but they are very prestigious universities still very hard to get into at all. Georgetown literally has produced more US diplomats than any american university, US presidents etc
