Hitting your late 20s and having a full-time job will put a stop to that real quick. 
I used to drink a lot in my early-mid 20s (picked up the habit in college), but once I hit 26 or so hangovers started getting worse and after a couple instances of being at work in the morning like
I cut way back. At this point drinking is strictly for weekends or days where I don't have to work the next morning. Otherwise I'd rather just

I drink beer at cookouts
Wine with dinner, maybe some brandy or something clear when I'm watching a game or playing one

I've drank Gin, Monday, Wednesday and today so far this week. Plan on drinking some Friday and Saturday as well. So 5 out of 7 days I would have drank some Gin

I'm an alcoholic. I've just recently quit after my best friend had a seizure from the shyt.
We used to go ham on the drank. He fell off the map and recently got back in touch and told me his story. If he's looking to get better then I can too before it gets that bad.
I like weed much better anyway and I don't overindulge with it.
