To be honest, I don't know much about the family dynamics on my dad side till this day, too awkward to ask. No one probably ever said anything to me about it for the same reason.
When I was growing up I always just assumed that my grandfather had kids with my grandmother, then they split and he got married again later. My pops always brought me over to my Grandfather, and my grandfather's wife house and I thought nothing of it.
When I got older, I was mad confused, I was like "hold on, how does my dad have both older and younger siblings by my grandpa's wife, maybe he left then came back."
Then I finally understood, and accepted the truth, my dad was a side baby.
My grandpa still had him around the house, and was involved somewhat in his life. (not sure how much, I don't ask those questions)
