Would I let my kid play? that would be a harder question. I dont believe in keeping away people from using their athletic gifts in sports. Some nikkas just born to play basketball, some nikkas born to box..some born to catch a slant..

When I have kids, I'm never putting them in football or boxing

I would put them in literally anything else
Why not boxing tho? You know you dont have to compete or spar at 100 percent if you dont want to, right?:dwillhuh:
Matter of fact, quite a few boxing/martial arts gyms are against going full contact strikes to the head(although you still can if you and your partner are down for it) exactly because of CTE.

Then it would come down to what they wanted to do, what's their heart set on. Whatever resources they need I would try to get the best I could get. If its looking like athletics is the way to go, I'd try to send em to IMG. If he's leaning towards the intellectuals, whatever lane he has an affinity towards, finding a mentor/tutor in that lane

All my years playing I only got hit in the head twice. Once when I was 6 and didn't know any better me and my friend lined up against each other like lineman and ran our heads into each other. Second time was like Jr or Sr year, playing pickup, I caught the ball and lowered my shoulder, my boy lowered his shoulder into me, we connected at the shoulders, damn near ripped my ear off my head but there wasn't any head impact.

Any other time playing for league and middle/high school I never got lit up or blindsided. That was mostly my fault because I I pretty much ran standing straight up like Forrest Gump.

My 40 was slow, 4.70 and I had big shoes to fill because my oldest brother still holds the high school record from 94 and went all state and my oldest bro was all city/district. And he was a standout in football, basketball and baseball.
