I do right now. A big adjustment. My boy was telling me about this and it is making me go :ohhh:

Remote year

Work remote for a year while traveling the world with other people. Get to expand your world view and do something interesting.

The cost I'm not too keen on tho

Remote Year costs $27,000 for the entire year, $5k down-payment and $2k / month for the first 11 months.

Could be worthwhile though..

Got bored being in the crib all day. Plus working from home for me meant sleeping, playing ps4, and drinking. I wasn't getting shyt done.

Yea going to work at a coffee shop or a shared workspace is necessary for me man. I know about sleeping lol. Kinda feels weird having limited accountability.

^ yea just get shyt done, no corporate politics, etc

I worked remotely for two years, different jobs that didn't pay much but I was happy since I made my own schedule and could pay my bills. My current job is flexible enough so I could work remotely if I decided to move or travel, but I'm mostly in office, at least 4 days a week. I prefer working on my own, tbh, but my company is very social.

I'm tryna figure out, though, why would you pay 27k just to travel with this company and work remote? It's not like they're providing you with a job. You can handle your own expenses and not pay 2k a month for it. What's the perk here?

What's Included

  • All travel between destinations
  • All accommodations during the entire year with your own room (hotels, apartments, dorms, bungalows - city-dependent)
  • Common workspace with internet that is centrally located and open 24 hours in each city
  • Activities and events, such as community impact days, speakers, tours, and other trips
Not that I agree with paying that much, but maybe something like that would be cool.

My job has work from home flexibility(I'm actually doing some work now)
I find it much easier to network while in the office though. So I prefer going to,the office.
