It is it's own beast. Borderline feels like its own country. I lived on Oahu, so I have to say KPT ( Samoan projects). They REALLY don't like outsiders. Hell yeah its expensive unless you know the lay of the land and or can get on a military base for groceries. Mostly Haoles (whites), but they still ain't as welcoming as you would think. Military or (Mainlanders fukked it up.) Actually it has less mosquitoes than the places that you named.

It’s a grind it’s expensive idk the avg rent but I pay almost 2k the hood there isn’t really any I done walked through the KPT KAM IV housing all that shyt Waipahu Waianae ain’t really no hoods of how you thinking when you go out side and see action

Natives hate people who don’t respect the island I mean you have a few who hate haoles like the poster above said but the popolos the natives don’t really bother us unless you do some dumb shyt

I live in Queens, NYC, so I was wondering if it was expensive in the way people say NYC is expensive, or if it was more expensive because it's an island.

Don't plan on living there, but I can see me spending at least 1-2 months there sooner than later.

I just watched a South Park episode on it last week and today the state randomly popped up in my hand.

About the same, but now a language barrier has some effect. The folks in Oki kinda had this

Even met some cool ass Japanese chicks. Some of their hip hop clubs were better than here in the US too.

Yeah, for the most part, cause all the ones who were actually from the island were pretty laid back to the point they all sounded high as hell. I know they spoke pigeon, Hawaiian, and even some Samoan, but it had a Brazilian Portuguese drawl to it. They were cool folks to my Southern ass, but the tourist that's another can of worms there.
