Any of you use Fiverr or similar sites to get some side income OR hire cheap labor?

I just used it for my logo, its a good idea for something simple like that

This.

The real way to make money with fiverr is to flip for profit. Search fiverr for a gig you think people would pay more than $5 for at some other place. Go to that other place and offer the gig for $20. Each time you get a sale, take $5 of the $20 and order the gig on fiverr. Congratulations, you just made $15 with almost no work.

And this. Essentially Fiverr becomes your Indian outsourcing agency. I've never used them for profit but I've definitely used them to design logos and shyt for my projects (school and work). Everyone thinks I'm a graphic design genius anyway. But sometimes its easier to provide direction than waste time doing the work yourself. Also, Fiverr folks can be extremely frustrating. I get 80% of the work done with them and just tell them to send me the Illustrator file so I can tweak stuff myself.

i've bought--
  • book covers for kindle
  • youtube views/comments
  • facebook friends/likes
  • twitter followers
  • sultry female voice to read 30 second voiceover script
  • custom php programing (small jobs)
  • website banner/logo
  • silly gag gift for a friend (prank phone call)
  • a black man to take a picture of his hand holding a slip of paper saying 'oldtimer" (so i'll be ready for that callout)

j/k on that last one :whoa:

when picking providers, i look at their reviews and/or check their demo reel

haven't sold anything on fiverr so can't speak to that side of things
:lupe:if i was going to be a provider, i'd try to fill the interview/review niche
i have a good command presence
but can't really compete with Bulgaria or the Philippines in terms of profit margin
