Any other AA's here who are ALWAYS mistaken to be African/Caribbean?

Not that its a bad thing but :mjlol:
I just don't get why but people always assume that about me.

Like, it happens a lot, but most recently was when I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago, and the nurse (who was Nigerian) asked me and my brother what country we were from, and we were like "uh...this one." He was legitimately surprised.

Just out of curiosity I asked him why he would assume that, and he said it was because we were very soft spoken, and didn't have any tattoos. Huh?! :mjlol:

Im not "offended" about it or anything, I just think its kinda funny. Does this happen to anyone else or am I alone here? lol
