The Los Angeles Lakers have lost 13 finals, including 8 in the Jerry West era and 7 in a single decade(1960s). And of those 7 finals losses (in their first 7 finals appearances) in the 60s, 6 of them were to the same team (Bill Russell's Celtics). People like to talk about the Bills, but the Lakers are some prolific ass losers. :heh:

The Lakers have played 31 NBA Finals and WON 16 NBA Finals, have only missed the playoffs 5 times in their entire 65 year franchise history, have an overall winning % of .619 as a franchise

NOBODY has a higher franchise winning % than we have

NOBODY has made the playoffs as many times as we have

NOBODY has a higher % of seasons ending in the playoffs as we have (92.3%)

NOBODY has won as many Division Titles as we have

NOBODY has won as many Conference Titles as we have

NOBODY has played in more NBA Finals than we have

The only place where we are #2 is in total NBA titles by 1 to the Celtics

We are the GOAT NBA Franchise and it's by a landslide

The Minneapolis Lakers were 5-1 in the Finals.

The LLLLLLLLLLLLLLos Angeles Lakers are 11-14 in 25 finals appearances and have lost to the Boston Celtics 8 times. That's a lot of Ls and a lot of heartbreak.

Read my original post. I said the Los Angeles Lakers. The Los Angeles Lakers only won 1 Championship in their first 24 years. :lolbron:

Now read the thread title. The Lakers have gone through more heartbreak than any other NBA Franchise. Imagine being an LA Laker fan in the 60s. Brand new team. Winning tradition brought over. Then you're met with annual sadness. 7 finals losses in 10 years :whew:They NBA felt so bad they gave Jerry West the very first Finals MVP as a consolation prize when he lost his 6th Final in a row. :lolbron:

Edit: I didn't even mention the :flabbynsick: '13 Lakers being the most disappointing team in Sports history...

If the Spus had a player like Kawhi Leonard during Duncan's prime it's no telling how many titles he would have had. He's a much improved version of Bruce Bowen when you include his offense as well as his defense. Maybe with a player like him Kobe wouldn't have went off on them all those times. But still, Tim got 4 titles so his career and the Spurs team have more than been blessed by the basketball Gods.

Love
  • They've won 4 championships since 2000.
  • Their core players (parker, Duncan) still have something left in the tank.
  • They have a young, good supporting cast.

I'd say they're gonna be alright :ehh:. Worry about your own squad :beli:
