Currently majoring in CompSci I want to be a Software Engineer. I'd say that's what the majority of people in the major aspire to be but you can also do Networking and join the 6 certs 6 figure brehs . Probably would find more information in the IT or Developers threads in the 6 figures forum

I don’t have one OP but I know a couple of brothers who do. One currently works as a VP in the technology department at Citi. All he needed was an MBA to move up but he never got it for some reason ( in my opinion He seems content).

Another one works as a Technology Consultant for Accenture.

There’s money to be made OP .

You can get paid real good with a C.S degree these days. I would definitely recommend it. Couple it with some certs cloud certs/cyber security, you should be at the $100K mark easily. I am starting my masters in C.S this January. Companies will pay lots of money for knowledge, the key is to learn the technology stack before everyone else.

Most of these jobs require some fundamentals of C.S.

Yeah. My degree close to a Computer Science major. Real close.

The company I work for is a Fortune 500 and they don't even recognize the degree. It's more about Certs. A+, Sec+, N+, MCP, and CCNA is what I got under my belt. These are a few that can help you bubble up.
Appreciate it breh, how would I get those certifications? Through the class?

I have a computer science degree and I work as a developer. Contrary to what you see on the internet it can be very hard to get that first job in IT even with the degree but after you get two years under your belt you will pretty much be set for life.

One of my homies from college took 6 years to graduate and he doesn't even work in IT.
