I finally found what my true passion in life is. Its writing, creative writing to be exact. I like creative writing because there's no rules or boundaries and I can tell stories and talk about things im passionate about. As some ppl may know, I'm a fine artist, visual artist, graphic designer, illustrator...possible tattoo artist...I still love the game but I been doing this shyt since diapers, I plan on retiring at 35. Its has too many constraints, I can only say so much in a solid image, plus its manual labor. U have to be creative while using your tool properly to build it. I don't want to do that shyt for much longer...it takes alot out of you.

My stories will invoke emotion, provoke thought, anger some, make some fall in love ....I don't give a fukk what people get out of it, I just need you to get something out of it. If that makes sense. I cant make the reader feel or think, ive failed. I want to talk about serious topics, with a dark and sometime dark comedic twist. Like Quentin Tarantino meets Andrew Niccol meets Donald Goings meet Me. Something new but entertaining enough for weed heads but philosophical enough for thinkers with a dark twist. I def want to write about society and human nature.

But writing is dope, lonely as hell, but creating art is lonely too, so whatever...I'm used to it. But u can sit and create whatever u want, and totally create every detail of a story. U can say EXACTLY what u want, any way u want. I love that. I'm interested in creating short stories for start to get my feet wet. The main goal is screen play writing tho, because I can really bring my visions to life. I want my work on screen for millions to see.

I don't really like to study other peoples work too much because I don't want to be over influenced. . I like to just freestyle and do what I want to do and live with the results like I do with my art. That way it can stay spontaneous and explosive. I like to work in the moment, Its more authentic.

What tips do professional writers got? I have no experience, never took a class, never studied a script or even read many stories. I'm trying to create atleast 25 stories this year, which is going to be hard but its a good goal...i don't want to hesitate, i want my shyt out in the world ASAP! I'm probably gonna just throw it out for free to, fukk the money....i want people to read my shyt...i might be dead at any given moment . I need my content out there, and my messages circulating.

what tips do u got about

- managing time
- getting my work into the right hands
- how to speed up the process

or any tip u got is appreciate

sitting on a bed holding a bloody knife at 3AM

small studio apartment

temperature is 10 degrees

howling winds

snowing

face resting against his palms reminiscing

the victim lays on the flood naked in a pool of blood

If I were you, I'd start by doing daily diatribes (look it up) on a website full of your peers who have no insight into the creative writing process.
Be sure to pour as much time and energy as possible into this website. It will undoubtedly be good for your soul.
Do that for.... I'd say 3 or more years, then threaten to leave because the brehs think you're a p*ssy.
Leave for 2 weeks in order to "find yourself" like an angsty teenage white girl, then come back and act like you never did that.

That's what you should do.
...oh wait...

What the hell took you so long. I've always felt that you were a good writer breh. You could do some interesting things combining it with your art.
appreciate that alot

i used to hate writing, and NEVER seen myself as a writer.....until i started posting here....people really seem to take to my daily thoughts and interactions....alot hate it and some love it...but people read it...i dont know why....but it showed me, maybe i have something to offer

that combined with me having a vision and passion for certain subjects made me want to tell stories. writing is the perfect career

I can create ANYTHING , no rules, no boundaries...tales of pain, suffering, Triumph, glory

i can talk about sexual taboos, how full of shyt this society is, race, politics, philosophy, tragedy, comedy...put it in the pot and mix it up...and try to create some new shyt

i hate political correctness, we need that unfiltered...hurt your feelings art to come back...our generation need a real voice....we need our pulp fiction, our clerks, our Truman show

  1. What story format are you using? Screenplays, short stories, novels, etc
  2. Whats the genre? Most people forget about learning about the different genres
  3. Remember don't be a slave to story structure but learn it anyway
  4. Know how the story ends before you write it
  5. Make the opening entertaining cause nikkas nowadays lose interest fast.
  6. Try to limit exponential dialogue as much as possible
  7. Let the character actions/words tell us they are
  8. Every character should have something to do/say about the theme of the story
  9. When you write just freestyle at first then clean it up latter
  10. Remember to not let the plot drive the characters and have them take agency on their own
  11. Give your characters personalty

best advice I can give you as someone who doesn't write em and just knows the process is.

- Get off thecoli and go and network in person. Go to book conventions and talk to the authors and ask them.
