The fan is only gonna blow the air that goes through it. If your house is hot you will just blow hot air, now it depends how much hot air you want blown, but if you want a good fan go get one of those metal fans at Walmart they’re like 40 dollars and loud as hell, but worth it

If your refrigerator has an ice maker you can build one with a styrofoam cooler. There are several DIY methods on youtube.

Vornado and nothing else in that price range comes close. Get the 630 from Amazon for a midsize bedroom. Even on the low speed you will be comfortable.

Does it work even when it's hot as hell outside and the ac is off?

I have a dyson. They do not blow cold air. The air they blow will just be cooler because of the speed the air is blown. Dysons are fans, humidifiers, air purifiers and heaters. They are not air conditioners. I have the top of the range model and even mine isn’t an air conditioner. Was very disappointed at first but the fan works really good and will cool you.

i just got the hot + cool version of these...... trying to see if it heats up my downstairs on it's own.. so far the air feels cool from across the room even though i have it on 99 degrees
