To be fair alot of people think they way they sign their name is the same as cursive.
I can read and write cursive but alot of "cursive" i see isn't cursive. just chicken scratch. Writing every word like a signature

anybody can read it if written correctly

When people complain about others not reading cursive its usually because they write like the second example
