Any schizophrenics on here?

I may have posted this thread on here I forgot.

I found out I was schizophrenic/bipolar like 3-4 years ago when I was 22 or 21 I forgot. I been to a lot of different mental health hospitals in Atlanta chicago and VA. I’m on ssi now but I start a job a job wit UPS that pays $17 an hour in life 2 days.

I wish I could go back to Amazon but my alcoholic weedhead ass got fired before I knew I was schizophrenic and they won’t let me back in. But damn that place was fun all the hoes I was eating.

But the driver helper job is a good job I did it bac in chicago when it paid $12. Ain’t no cute girls to flirt with all day but u get to talk to some old heads that can teach u sum.

I was on the Marta(the train system) in Atlanta acting crazy thinking people was following me and I thought this girl I was just texting was my wife.

Idk the symptoms but I was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and bipolar or sum idk how it works

given that it started in your early 20s is it safe to assume it’s genetic? Anyone else in your family diagnosed or showed similar signs?

Do you feel like it’s made a significant difference in your life being diagnosed?

Were you in denial at first?

I honestly don’t know if I can have children with someone with any type of mental health issues that are genetic. I would not want to pass that down to my children.

I think mental health should be more talked about, and not just I go through bouts of depression and anxiety.

I feel like a lot of people who say they have issues with anxiety and depression don’t actually seek experts.. and just deal with it on their own

My best friend had that and was bipolar. Wish I knew more about it at the time. How do the meds make you feel? Do they help 100%?

Yea I’ve been to jail like 10 times..no felonies or nun just dumb shyt but it makes sense now. My parents aren’t schizophrenic and no one on my dad side claims to be schizophrenic, but one of my mamas first cousin is. So it’s not like we have a family full of em lol.

When I went to my first mental health hospital in Atlanta some of my cousins and family visited me and I was so out of it…I thought the hospital had put a chip in me and shyt. So I wouldn’t say I was in denial or anything idk.

some people say meds make them feel weird, drowsy and shyt but I feel normal.. u wouldn’t know I was schizophrenic if I ain’t tell u I don’t walk around talking to myself or nun like that. I guess they help 100% but i been to a mental healtg hospital like 6 times in 4 years so idk. But I haven’t been in like a year.
