gotcha, was using it your first option? or you used it cause fukk it, why not?

Basically :yeshrug: It has been sitting since I got out in 2000. I always felt like my veteran status wasn’t as true as war time vets so I never used any of my benefits. One day I said let me see what I have available, got all my benefits and applied for my COE. Took about 6 mounts total but VA loans are difficult to compete with the cash market. I paid 5 over and I love my home now.

I used mine to buy a house in February. Went through Veterans United. Pretty smooth process.

Same here:ehh:. They literally have a team that handles damn near everything. My VU shirt is still sitting on my couch waiting for me to take my pic and post. Can’t complain outside of the cross selling liaisons but it’s a business

the amount they gave you was set based on rank at ETS ? or how did they tell you a pre approved amount.

If you’re approved, meaning the minimum amount of service time, I think you can go up to 650,000 buuuuuuuttttttt :whoa: remember the loan still goes through an lender. They still have their underwriting requirements and according to your loan amount, the payments can be crazy high.

I still ended making a deposit just to balance out payments for the life of the loan and I paid all closing due to the shytty market.

So basically you have to secure your certificate of eligibility from the military. Pretty simple with an honorable discharge and time served. Your work is at the banking end; credit and income.
