Ive been trying to get my folks to invest in AMD since I made my purchase of 60 shares on July 5. From the 5th to just a few days ago I went from 60 shares to over 3k shares, then back down to 2750 shares (sold some to pay something off).
In that time frame the PPS went from $15.26 to $24.30 (7 weeks!). But in those 7 weeks, I have been reading everything I can about AMD and its main competitor Intel and posting all of this info (great news for AMD) on Facebook, while telling everyone they should be investing in AMD ASAP!
So, about Mid July, I posted that it was my goal to help 5 people get invested by the end of AUG. I got a positive response! Folks replying to the status staying that they are down, other folks hitting my inbox asking for more information. Im excited AF, man, Im calling, texting, Inboxing folks left and right!
Now, to back track a lil bit, almost daily I post how the AMD stock is performing. Its getting 1, or 2 comments and a comment here and there. I was posting good (most days were) and days in the red, but I day I posted that I lost over $2000 today (ended up being $2800) and MFers lost their minds. I know some are saying wtf would you post that, if youre trying to get people to invest!? Simple, if I was posting nothing, but good days, and one of my people invested and got hit a BIG loss a few days into it, they wouldn't be looking at me all crazy about how Im losing them money. I just wanted to show the good and the bad of it.
FF to a few days after me posting about that $2800 loss and Im at work talking to 2 of my co-workers about investing. 1 acts interested and the other 1 is dead set against it. At this post in time the stock is sitting in the low $18, but I read this article that says AMD stock is expecting to be between $24+ and $29+ in 3 months. So, Im like ole shyt man, yall better get on this shyt now!
