Superstar
Just watched and it's eh. I expected something better from Simmons who complained about creative restrictions at ESPN. The writing, jokes and segments are cringe worthy. I know Bill said he's gonna talk about sports, pop culture and tech, but he's doing that already on his podcast so this show's format doesn't make sense - it's basically live radio/podcast. Watching people talk on TV, especially sports, is outdated. I expected something better on HBO. Plus stuff like the short clips (KG screaming) and random jabs at ppl like ayesha came off as forced. Idk if he's targeting the older crowd who want information/insight or the hot take/trending/meme/hash-tag crowd. I'll wait until the end of season 1 before completely writing it off, but if i'm HBO i would be a little nervous right now.
On a side note, theringer's podcasts are terrible outside of Bill Simmons own show.
