why are we just now really talking about white supremacy and black economics? our whole lives our parents preach to us the same bullshyt that didn't work for them.....so how was it suppose to work for us?

now u have all these young black people walking around aimless like confused zombies...saying"but but but they told me if i didn't commit crimes and got a degree ill be fine"

u gen x nikkas inherited a rough deal also...i blame them somewhat but the crack era and the 80s recession really put a hurting on them

but the older gen dropped the damn ball by preaching for us to follow a system that was clearly made to keep us as a underclass

i talk to my parents about white supremacy and they think im crazy....these mfers been living 50-60 years and still believe in this system....come on man wtf...even in my early 20s i didn't believe in this shyt no more

"I Fear I May Have Integrated My People Into a Burning House" - Martin Luther King Jr.

:mjcry:they killed the Kang because he seen integration wasn't the way and was pushing towards economic autonomy for black people before he was killed. We seen how they had to get Garvey, Malcom, the Panthers etc out of the way because they knew the system was never for us and economic self sufficiency was.

They killed our leaders and introduced crack and the war on drugs all the while selling our parents the illusion of inclusion in this fake ass system
:wow:

Nah. My parents told me exactly what was going on.

And the thing is i never understood it until i was old enough to experience it myself. Up until i was like 19 race barely crossed mind.

And i think they were under the impression that if they raised us to be law abiding citizens we would be better off for it. Idk what your elders were involved in but mine were really with the shyt. They saw it all and in reality it didn't get them too far in life. So they weren't gonna raise me up encouraging me to do the same thing.

Black people from previous generations didn't realize how deep white supremacy ran. They probably thought that racism was mostly based on "ignorance", completely unaware that there was a system in place that most white people were actively taking a part in upholding.

With some of us awake, it is imperative that we prepare the next generation (children being born today and tomorrow) so that they can counter this system and break the cycle once and for all.

my father would talk about stuff like that on a frequent enough basis. i'm just glad i remember things he said. as i get older, i greatly appreciate the presence and lessons my father took to giving me while i was young. i damn sure didn't think back then that i'd be thinking about them like i am now. i'm sorry you feel like your parents haven't informed you but, in reality, even with information like that you might not have taken to it back then like you do now. can't worry about the past, if you feel uninformed you must inform yourself and seek information...

That is interesting and kind of true based on the many adults I talk to that seem to not have much fight in them compared to back in the day.
Im more than certain theres a generation in which blacks have lost their nuts figuratively as far as standing against or even speaking out against racism. I think it was the generation right after the boomers who seem to approach it in a head-in-the-sand, elephant in the room scared to even mention it type mentality which have lulled our people into a false sense of security, asleep even but due to social media and events now being exposed, you cant ignore it now, shyts in everyones faces.

A fleeting childhood
My sixth grade teacher told me what it was when she caught me acting out of my character. My family showed me what it was throughout my entire life. Still pointing out things today and then we have a conversation about it. There are great people of every color and there are dikkheads that you gotta watch out for.
