anybody else enjoy this "trash" Nas album?

Jokes aside, my question is- am i the only person who enjoyed Street's Disciple? Pretty much anybody i encounter, whether in real life or online, talk about how the album was. Granted it's not one of Nas' classics, any of yall feel like it's was more dope than it's given credit for?

That shyt had like two or three weak tracks, the rest was straight fire. Nas went off and Salaam did his thing.

Yeah, i agree with this. Trim some of the fat and i think you have a strong contender for a top 3-5 Nas album.

I really liked it when it came out. In some ways its the album that people praise Life is Good now for. It was a real family album for him and personal stuff that he reminisced about. But people seemed to be turned off by the second disc and the Kelis stuff.

But they are many dope joints imo Theifs Theme, Message to the Feds, Just a Moment, the title track on disc 2, Virgo was cool for what it is. Bridging the Gap was a fun record to me, Nazareth Savage and War.

Not mad at it at all.

All the great songs should had been condensed to one disc.

The pining for Kelis on the second Disc made it a fast-forward fest, but now in hindsight very comical.

And, they should have never replaced the original Kool G. Disciple beat.

All in all, Nas lyrics still outshined all the flimliness that accompanied the double disc.

Gimme Sade's mystique, she gotta know her way in the streets
Like Billie Holiday in Harlem
Body from Ketoi Johnson and Kenya Moore and Apple Bottoms
Maya Angelou's brain and some groove from Terry McMillan
Them Angelina Jolie lips, Angela Davis, Sista Souljah's wit
