Anybody else getting pressured to have kids?

Seriously, if my moms tells me that she wants grandkids one more time...

Been getting this pretty much since my mid 20s or so and it's annoying. Especially considering I'm not even married yet. It's particularly bad for me since I have a small family.For those of yall that age or older that have no kids, do you get that from the fam? And if so, how do you deal with it?

To be honest I would like to have a kid at some point, but not until I'm damn well ready. And to be honest the thought still kind of scares me.

My mom assumes I can't have kids because I don't have any.
I finally had to tell her one day, "I don't have kids because: 1 I can't afford kids, 2 I don't want to be a single parent (aka a baby mama)". Her response to that? "You don't need a husband to have kids"


Thankfully my brother knocked up his girlfriend, so she's chilled out a bit with all this 'I need another grand child' talk.

Ignore that pressure breh. Kids are verrrrry expensive, you will be the one paying your child's expenses, dont fall for the trap. They will be happy to babysit for an hour and give back the child when they have had enough. You are stuck for 18+ years.

And, yes, my parents are married. She hasn't said that when my dad is around.
I guess she thinks that since other women can do it, I can. But I don't want to. And she didn't, so why should I?

No but all my family has born boys so they all collectively decided that I'll be the first one to bring a girl into the family. Also at my nephew's birthday party, two different females ask me about having children out the blue. That was weird.

This is the funniest part about it to me.

People ask me if I have kids, and I say "No...i'm not even married..."
and they go "oh...yeah"


My family is alright. Ma pretty much has made her peace with the idea I may never have kids,
but it's cool because my siblings have already gave her grankids. Dad never tripped off it.

The WORST muffuccas are people your age. I start talkin' to some broad and they're all
"you don't want ANY kids??" No, ma'am. And dudes are just as bad wit' it...
