Anybody else on this forum never had someone who was close to them pass away?

I got a real big family, and i mean BIG family..i got 29 first cousins . I'm real grateful that i still have my parents,my brothers, 4 grandparents and a great-grandmother who still living, and all my close friends from childhood are still in my inner circle. But i always end up thinking about this..

I never had someone close to me die, i never experienced that feeling and i just know when i do im going to lose it. I been to funerals before but it would be like a friends parent or someone i chilled with a handful of times, but never someone i was close with. Its like an impending doom thats just around the corner and that shyt really bothers me cause its inevitable..its going to happen.

Anyone else on this forum in this same position? My condolences to anyone on here who lost someone they were close to, but for me just the thought about knowing its coming really fukks me up..

a nice quote my uncle once said was "this family might not be rich, but we're rich in family"..and i agree, but damn b..lifes a bytch

My aunt died last month. We weren't really all that close but it still sucks. Just enjoy them while they are here. That's really all you can do..

My aunt died last month. We weren't really all that close but it still sucks. Just enjoy them while they are here. That's really all you can do..

I lost my father at 13 but outside of that I still have that feeling I fear this happening all the time with everyone I care about

In 4th grade, i was in the hospital room with my grandmother at the exact moment my uncle succumbed to cancer. shyt fukked me up for awhile. Another one was my grandfather (same side of fam), died on my birthday in 2004, a few months before I was about to get married. That messed me up also. It's fukked up to wake up on your birthday and then remember its the anniversary of your grandfathers death.

You'll remember the good things about that person that will make you smile

It's been almost a year, but I still feel like I haven't grieved like I wanted to about my grandmother

At least I was back in the US and got to spend 1 on 1 time with her before she passed

Thanks man, I've gotten over it for the most part. Makes me think about my grandmother though. I dont talk to her often enough and haven't seen her in years (she lives in Atl with another aunt).

Still dont seem real even though he's gone.

Weirdest thing is that im kind of pissed off he's gone in a selfish way. No many inside jokes we had and experiences that pretty much dissapeared. Im also moving next month and he is the one who helped me install a bunch of my furniture.......gonna be a bytch to take it apart.
