I just got done with a week of jury duty....this was the case

Lets say on a Monday night there was a party, the 2 co-defendants were a couple (John and Jane) and Jane's friend Alice was there..Jane and Alice are also "Godsisters" of 10 years....Somehow, Alice got into a physical altercation with a man (John's friend). Jane and John helped break up the fight. The cops were called and a report was filed. Hours later during the AM, Alice called the ambulance because her face hurt.

Later on that day, Alice had been conversing with John (txt/calls) because his friend was on probation/parole and he didn't want to get the police involved. They both seemed to want to "meet up in the streets" for a "one-on-one, but it wasn't specified when or where. On and off, Alice has been calling the cops the same day to report the situation again, with no response from the police.

That evening, the victim/complainant (Alice) was outside on a January NIGHT, in North Philly, sitting on her steps on the phone :mjpls:According to her, she looked down the street and seen John, 2 of john's friends and a random girl. Her account is that she ran back in the house, when the group chased after her and tried to force arms through the door. She struggled and finally got the door closed. They ran, she called the cops and then ran back outside to tell the group "don't run now, the cops are on their way" :russ:....allegedly, the group had gotten back to their car (about 1 full city block) where shots were fired in her direction.

The victim only "saw" 4 people, John, 2 of John's friends and a random girl.

The only tangible evidence were cell locations that placed them near the scene, the victim's account (kinda shaky), John's green jacket that the victim said all the men were wearing:francis:..no gun just some random casings, fragments and 2 bullet holes nearby.

These were the charges.

Innocent. You better convince the rest of them fools to say the same. Just because someone is in proximity to a crime doesn't make them guilty.

No gun found either? :camby:

Oh woww, that's crazy:damn:...so i guess they do go after some folks...i threw one away years ago when i was young and didn't realize how important it was that black people need to be serving...

It was good and i was out of work for 5 days. My job still pays me and i got a nice little $77 check:win: lol

But the whole case was kinda goofy, the State didn't really have the evidence to prove much of anything but conspiracy...you charging people with WHOLE gun charges and dont even have a gun or ballistic tests wtf:mindblown:

Where I'm from: we don't talk to the feds, judges, and we never aspire to be juries. :ehh:

We're trying to get our brothers out of jail, not put more in there.:troll:

And all black people who're not serial killers are always innocent. :troll:

I had one but they didn't actually go through with the trial. They called us in and said they need to do more research but told us what was going on. Guy got pulled over for driving while under the influence of marijuana. He said he wasn't when he was pulled over but he smoked the day before and it was still in his system. He had a medical card to smoke too

This is how they're spending our tax money, huh?

I did jury duty last year.

My case was a doctor accused of sexually assaulting a patient. The doctor was Indian and the patient was a young white girl, so with a majority white jury, the case was already on that :mjpls:

We found him not guilty in the end because the accuser had changed her story several times, she had a documented history of lying, drug overdosing and suicide/self-harm attempts...all of which stemmed from the fact that she felt like everyone around her was moving on with their lives and she was becoming invisible.

She got caught in a lie on the stand started crying instead of answering the question. There were so many inconsistencies and omissions. She joked “Imagine if my doctor was to finger me” with her friend a few months before going to police...and she deleted her phone records before handing her phone over for evidence. When asked why she did that, she said she knew how it would look :beli:

Since that case, I’ve been super-weary of white women because this guy lost his job and got arrested on nothing but this girl’s (inconsistent) word.
