Seems like there's a lot of problems that are occurring now and will get worse as the years go by . Things that we could get under control but it would require everybody to change their lifestyle like meat consumption, which I don't see happening.

We will soon have diseases that will make us think of the covid years in a fond way.

We also have climate change which is impacting many things , especially water. There's tensions brewing already in Africa due to the Nile River. Past wars were fought due to oil, but now it will be due to water. The U.s will soon invade countries for "freedom" but it really will be due to water.

If I was a nation rich in water , I would put some more money into the military.

I read the average human can live like 2 days without water , and that might be the norm in a few decades. Where people will drink water every 2 or 3 days .

OP what is the basis of these concerns? Climate change?
Yes we need to get net zero carbon emissions within this decade
But water shortage? We have a drought in the west but it isn't even close to what you're talking about

Not sure where your optimism is coming from. Most scientists agree that we're tracking the worst case scenarios.

The situation isn't getting any better and the world will continue to warm and do so exponentially. I would wager to bet that by the mid 2030s there will conflicts over water, heat waves that turn into mass casualty events, food shocks, wildfires that desecrate entire towns, persistent droughts, and storm surges that cause billions of dollars worth of damage.

It will be a perilous time and cause society to contemplate and regret the excesses of unbridled capitalism during the last century. If isn't abundantly clear that humanity is on the wrong track it be by that time.
