Old joints, but I really like dudes music.
You right Breh, The Detroit scene is just too diverse. It's heavily influenced by house and techno, There was never any of that bi-coastal shyt there. Detroit cats rock with almost every type of music. From Motown to Metal, Good observation from an outsider. I always thought this myself but never verbalized it.I cant figure out detroit, i respect a lot of artists that come out of there but their music scene is hard to pin down. They dont really have a "sound" per se...it seems like they're so heavily influenced by other regions and have such a diverse mixture of artists that its hard to define what they represent. I guess its just a byproduct of being a midwest city...They got super lyrical dudes like eminem, elzhi, royce, guilty simpson, black milk, etc ....street rappers like doughboys cashout, dex osama, etc...they got weirdo/corny shyt like ICP/King Gordy/ Danny Brown (even tho he can rap)...and commercial artists like Big Sean/Dej Loaf ....Its almost hard to believe with the black population being what it is in detroit that their hip hop scene hasn't blown up on a larger scale but i think its due to the fact that they're still struggling to find their identity. Detroit posters, let me know what ur opinion on this cuz im speaking as an outsider and cant really see it from the inside....no hate btw i got family in detroit
got that Yay Area sound
I fukk with Payroll, whats his latest? He needs better production, but 'My First 10' was a favorite track last year....
