If so, what router do you have? Might have to upgrade soon.

I get 90Mbps over my wired connection, but only getting 20 over wireless.

I have a dual-band router as well, so I'm trying to see what's good. What's the fastest speeds you've gotten over wireless brehs?

105 hardwired I can normally get around 70 wireless, using a Comcast gateway.

Before you go spend $200 on a router I suggest making sure there is no interference in your house.

Yep, and for the record N66U and N66R is the same thing, had me confused at first. Best router ever, threw my two linksys routers in the bushes after that.

Wireless is so much more reliable now.

I mean, I don't have a problem streaming or gaming wirelessly in my house. My router is pretty good, I'm just curious what the consensus is with this. Might upgrade, since I've had this router for like 3 years now.

How do I go about checking for interference though?

this or the Asus N56U

both are great routers

the 66U is a little better but the 56U is a little cheaper
I got the RT-N53

I don't have the antennas, but it's a dual band

I've gotten close to 300mbps on wireless on this 5Ghz router I have. Wired you should be getting 100mbps flat or 1Gbps if on a Gigabit router. Mind you though those speeds only matter in your home network. Your real online speeds will probably be much lower due to your ISP speeds.

Breh I had a enterprise level access point (ruckus AP) that I was using and still relied on my older cisco router (:flabbynsick:) for DHCP and etc. Figured that the antennae on it would be better and that it might be better for dealing with areas with alot of interference.

Ordered that ASUS and it was better all across the board. My old network equipment is sitting in my garage right now. Cant even give it away at this point :snoop:
