Anybody go to WWE live events often? What do you prefer, House Shows, TV Shows , or PPv's?

Interesting, everyone has their preference. This is going to be my first RAW.

It's not always fun on tv, and my seats won't be great. But I do want to experience Barclay's. Been to MSG a couple of times.

Found this online:

Great match up, looks awesome from that view, and has an amazing finish. You only see things like this at House Shows.

I've been two two house shows and the crowds were live and the action was great. I saw a very good ladder match between Eddie G. and RVD. Low ki was doing his thing before he got signed. I saw Rumble 2000 with very expensive up close seats (as a promo gift) and it wasn't as good as it came out on the VHS. Couldn't catch high spots.

After seeing what's going on, I'm pissed I spent money I don't have on RAW same week of Mania, when this MSG house show is stacked bigger than Fastlane. If you're a Die-hard fan it's bigger than this years mania sort of.

I'm currently dealing with your dilemma the NYC area has an MSG show the Saturday before Mania, a RAW taping in Brooklyn before Mania and a PPV in Newark in May.

I'm leaning towards the MSG house show cause of money but the chance to see Undertaker live vs a PPV is really holding on to me.

They all have their Pros and Cons

I've been going to live events since I was 5 or 6 years old, and I'd say throughout the 90s and early 2000s I was probably at 20 or more house shows. House Shows are the best for actual wrestling and a more intimate show. I'd definitely say I've had more fun and seen better shows at House Shows than TV tapings. At the same time though, you know what you're going to get from a house show. A solid show but with predictable results and no chance of a title change or a cool moment that you might see at a live RAW or PPV

Most of the TV tapings I've been to have been hit or miss in terms of quality of show, but there is a sense of excitement you get when you go to a RAW that you can't get from a house show. I'd definitely prefer going to a live televised show than a house show now, but I've been to both lately and have been underwhelmed from both kinds of events

PPV would probably be my choice for which type of show I prefer going to. You get better wrestling and no commercials like you would at a house show, and you get the cool Pyro and lighting and excitement of a RAW or SD taping. I've been to SummerSlam 95, KOTR 98, No Way Out 2005, Bragging Rights 09 and Royal Rumble 2014. Of all of those only KOTR 98 was a great show, but they were all fun to be in attendance for

Going to a house show tonight actually, They're hard to beat as a WWE experience because of the interactivity

the heels especially will loosen up and troll/ interact with everyone they can

I fully expect to see Minneapolis natives to get verbally abused by Kevin Owens tonight

I've only ever been to house shows except Insurrection the UK PPV in 2000

They're actually okay as far as family events go. Very standard stuff nothing shocking happens and its mostly families. When you sit at them you start to realize this is the audience Vince and them feels is the larger audience. You have smarks chanting but they die out to family of casual viewers where the dad is actually excited to see Big Show for instance. So they are outnumbered a bit at the show

That said, I dont know where people get this notion that Cena and Reigns get cheers at House shows, I see people give them mixed reactions there too...but to be fair their fans are way more noticeable (Especially Cena's) at House shows and more vocal...but they'll literally sing the John Cena sucks and Lets go Cena/Cena sucks shyt while cheering for him cause they like to chant.

I wanna check out a PPV or Raw/Smackdown to see if its any different. As much as ya;ll think UK is smark city, the house show tours are casual as fukk but packed

Edit: Oh yeah also the wrestlers definitely loosen up at House Shows both heels and faces but almost in a carny way and sometimes the moves do feel way more over-exaggerated and scripted though. Yeah you hear about dudes busting open and getting injured at house shows but I think thats on rare occassion testing things for TV. Usually you can see some Rock/Hogan/Michaels type overselling on these shows
