Do you bank Black?

I kinda got railroaded into supporting this eatery that is more of a charity in my eyes (price for the plate is too high for the actual meal you get, but the family running it are refurbishing a historical Black landmark)

Momz likes it and is serious about supporting. So I roll with her for Sunday brunch. But it's cool to see them gaining traction and we're helping. Eating there plus talking it up

Black bank was a no brainier as soon as I became "woker than thou" right around the 2016 election. Dropped everything in my conservative town I had found myself in and jetted back home. Moved my money to the local Black bank day 1

That's not true. Had to wait for my last checks to direct deposit to the old account then did a sketchy ass wire transfer for all my cheese at once.

shyt vanised for like a whole business day: meaning - the old account read $0.00 AND the new account read $0.00 for like a whole 24 hour period

Talk about shook. About $5K up in the air like that

It’s a Black owned laundromat up the street that I use, older lady owns it keeps it clean

My landlord is black, has his own property management company if that counts

Not to mention the black owned eateries I frequent

I've been to some black and Caribbean restaurants.

The only black owned corner store near me growing up, was owned by this Trini dude. I barely ever saw people go in there.

Made no sense because he was right next to the Parkside/Nostrand station which a lot of people coming out of it.

I later found out he was actually selling weed the whole time.

Not much except for eating out. There's one bank I have a savings account at. I mainly have it there because it's far away enough for me to where I can't just stop on by to make a withdrawal. Other than that, there isn't much. If I was a woman I would probably support way more black businesses.
