Anybody here ever been to Broadcasting/Mass Media school?

I live in the Tampa area and was thinking about checking this place out

I was thinking about taking part in their audio/visual course. Does anyone have any experience with a school like this? It seems like a lot of the pros in music/film field were self taught or learned from the guy next door, but I don't have that option right now. Is it worth it, or should I just buy a manual and do it my own way.

If you're hellbent on going into broadcasting/media, it won't hurt. I went to school for that kind of stuff and would strongly advise anyone against it.

A small handful of people will make decent money doing it, but the vast majority won't. Except to work terrible hours for terrible pay.

If you listen to sports radio there is always one host who went there and got his start....he is always the graveyard nikka who may one day get that 10 am drive but he is never the headline host


We all cant boss so maybe u make some ends...
