Anybody here fight/spar/fought in amateurs?

Lifelong casual/few year non-casual here.

I’m over 40 and just started learning and training a bit about 4 years ago, even though I would realistically say that I have about 6-12 months under my belt of learning the sport, since I obviously wasn’t training like a pro. Probably a LOT less than that.

Anyone here spar or fight? I’ve been told I should try Masters division, but I doubt I will (I need my face for work lol)

Been Boxing since I was 12, never took it serious though. Fell deeper in love with the sport as I got older. Might jump into the amateur thing next year but I’m focused more so on the coaching/training side of things. I’m way over my natural weight right now but once I get down I’ll be ready for sparring again.

boxed from 16-18 cuz my Uncle recommended it

I'm just naturally not a fighter, I'm too slow with head movement.

Didn't hop back in the gym at least 2-3 times a week until about two years ago.
