I want something specific though, I'm even tryin to train for it now. I'm not opposed to a hard job or whatever I'd just prefer to fly for them

Yeah not saying you just the ones I meet...just like the marine I meet seem to be gunho with a death wish.

I don't know about all that :patrice:

You do it

I'ma stick to what I know for the time being

It's a cool job but if you're passion is flying, go for it. I wanted to be a rotary wing pilot when I was younger-- had a dream of flying Apaches in the army. The older I got the sooner I realized I dreaded mathematics for the most part so I honestly have neither the aptitude nor the willingness to get all crazy with the math shyt that comes n/h with the aviation territory. Just have zero drive to work hard at that math shyt.

Only things I'm considering in the military are intel or special forces type shyt.

Im not too familiar with how officer and especially pilot selection is processed. But from what i do know.

You dont need a high GPA to be a pilot, really dont need anything above a 3.0 however, i would suggest having atleast a 3.3 or above since the selection at times could be very difficult and selective, the number of officers we accept always vary. The selection board is twice a yr for pilot and nonpilot jobs, with being an officer you will be limited to the jobs you qualify for and if you wanna go the special ops route whether combat control or pararescue, you cant go that route during the initial process, you have to be in the air force already to go that route.

Having your aviation license will definitely help a lot during the selection process, volunteer work, school clubs, community and a good GPA with 3-5 reference letters.

The AFOQT is the hardest test you will ever take and you can only take it twice in your life. The army only needs a passing asvab score to be an officer

OK
Bumping this since I too am thinking about the Air Force. I'm already in the process of talking to an officer recruiter and he made me fill out a questionnaire. Are you able to divulge any more tips about the process @qnsfinest ?

I was a former combat controller in the air force and now in a recruiter. That 91 on the EST is amazing, you're looking at scoring in the high 90's on the ASVAB and should be qualified for every Enlisted job, barring any medical issues with vision or any law violations or bad credit. Since you wanna join after college, you will be pushed towards the Officer program and you should be able to pass the AFOQT with no issues.

Let me know if you got any questions

Im in the AF as we speak and this gentleman is spot on. Hopefully like he said you dont have any issues medically or financially. If you scored a 91 you really should have zero issues with the officer qual test.

Here is a website for some practice tests:

afoqtguide.com

The Academy is located in Colorado, hope you enjoy that cold weather and high elevation
