Anybody here lives in Fort Washington, MD?

as most of you guys know im at my last year of nursing school( imma be a male nurse i know)
anyway i had a discussion with my sister on where im going after i move outta nyc
i told her the same spot like Houston,Atlanta etc... but ive been researching on how Fort Washington is a beautiful place to live with alot of black people that are successful im not knocking the other places but i hear alot good things of that place
anyone here lives there/knows someone who lives there?
how is it over there? is their Cacs there? hows life over there? i dont wanna be near too many cacs as much as possible thats just me
sidenote: property is cheap there and i can still work in D.C since its only a 30min drive

Its definitely not gonna be a 30 minute drive to work with traffic unless you need to be at work at 7am or earlier.

You should look in DC or closer to DC. Pretty sure fort Washington is just suburbs. Depending on your lifestyle and age that may appeal to you or not

No different then living in nyc

PG County is nice and cheap but the traffic there can be

Pg county is good money for the most part. I prefer Bowie, Lake Arbor and Laurel.

Also look into the areas around Clinton, Largo, Mitchellville, and Glenn Dale. All nice, majority black neighborhoods in PG County.

Fort Washington is nice but it is suburbia. Traffic into DC or NOVA can be tough during rush hour. Don't limit you job search to DC proper. checkout Alexandria VA and Arlington VA. Those will have short commutes distance wise. Can't call it for the amount of time though.
