Anybody here own a Kindle Fire HD 7"

If so, how is it?

Im looking for a cheap tablet I can use exclusively with the chromecast and I saw staples has these for $99(8 gig version)

I checked xda and theres a CM10 rom for it , I just need to know if this thing is slow and is it worth $100

If its slow then I wont cop...I already have that slow ass trashpad

My wife does, but she hates it. She is about to sell it to get a Nexus 7

We both thought she would like it because she stays shopping from Amazon but she doesn't like the app store, the layout. Its not really that slow but just kind of limited. She isn't real tech savvy so I'm sure it stuff you can do that she doesn't utlize.

But from every thing I've seen from them, you'd be better off getting a nexus 7

Yea I heard the OS and amazons app store was trash thats why I checked to see if it was a android rom available for it and it is so thats not a problem

I was gonna cop the Nexus but that $99 price tag got me curious

"Its not really that slow" doesnt sound too good tho
