Anybody here thought about writing political commentary articles or podcasting?

I thought about just writing articles or whatever. I’m not some academic or intellectual adding much to the national discourse. I have somewhat of a talent for invective and was just thinking about shytting on some of these politicians and media commentators and their awful takes for fun and clicks.

@Cole Cash said fukk it and just did his thing as a podcaster. :salute: I’m probably not in a position where I’d feel comfortable revealing my face and identify like that cause I got a whole ass professional career in corporate America (I do act in indie movies, but that’s a little different).

Is it worth it the time to write opinion pieces as an amateur? If so, what’s the best platform and how do you get out there.

I've been testing out a quick take podcast around trying to simplify political news with my homies diversifying the podcast network we're putting together.

When we work out some of the 'production factor' qualities I'ma put the link in my sig to promote all our sh*t.

Literally the position I'm in right now.

Coincidentally I’ve been thinking about pitching some freelance articles recently about my work in public interest and law school. I feel like Elie Mystal showed there’s an audience for writers who won’t pull punches when it comes to shytting on right wingers.

You can probably just use medium to create your own site and get your stuff up. But I think a lot of us are stuck in-between. Brianna Gray Joy jd a rare case of just saying fukk it and having it work out.

Yeah, I would never quit my career to try and be a political pundit. I was just thinking about writing editorials under a pseudonym or some shyt and seeing where it goes.

Nah I'll just get off trolling members of the IDW on Twitter.
I have a twitter for just lurking but whenever I try and troll commentators up there nobody clicks like on my shyt. :mjcry:

I’ve never once tweeted that wasn’t a response to someone’s tweet and I have like 3 followers though lol.

Just go for it.
Unless you're revealing company secrets or just being unnecessarily crass I would remove the idea of losing your job for expressing your worldview.

People share their shytty opinions without recourse all over Facebook and Instagram without much blowback if any.

Above the fray.
OP
If/When you do it, please put a new spin or take a novel approach to it.

Seems to be 3 million podcasts and twice that many writers on the internet. The world doesn't need another person doing the exact same thing that everybody else is doing.

I support the first episode of any platform launched by a Coli member, and I always encourage people. But at this point there are more podcasts than listeners.
