They talkin about SOPs and cGMPs

:lupe:

:lupe:

upstream, downstream process development, analytical method and formulation development

:lupe:

Everybody in my orientation having bachelor degrees and me having a GED

:snoop:

Help me out brehs I don't understand this shyt, did they make a mistake? :lupe:

I stay with the :lupe: face at work. I make $16/hr and probably in the 20s next year :blessed: but I'm lost. shyt is skressful. I'm working in manufacturing

Just shut up and nod your head, they will show you everything they want you to do. Just don't fukk up.

That's all I been doing breh :heh:

I already know a fukk up is coming I ain't too worried cause they expect me to make em, but I'm trying to decipher a "foreign language" in like 2 weeks. I got to sit in front of a computer reading documents I don't understand for like 4 hours a day :heh:

I got coworkers already lookin at me sideways when they ask about my background and credentials and I'm like I got none :manny:

Get off the coli

Hit wikipedia, google everything and start watching youtube videos

Good luck.

A formal education helps but you gotta do what you gotta do

Download some textbooks if you can and get through them

Know any good textbooks for manufacturing? I'm literally new to everything.

All my uncle said was to read the SOPs and try to soak in as much as you can but mostly everything will be learned on the job. Still, my head is spinning but I feel official as fukk walkin around this suburban business park with my key card

I'm pretty sure they didn't hire you without even looking over your credentials

Read EVERYTHING they give you to know and then cross reference it all

I don't know what your job is but they trust you to be able to do it

a lot of it is basically "follow the instruction" but you need to be open minded and accept your "intuition" doesn't mean much here and theres a lot you don't know

What up, I use to work in the molecular biology field. SOP's or Standard Operating Procedure are just written instructions so everybody is working the same.

cGMPs are Current Good Manufacturing Practices are laws by the FDA to make sure your not making people sick.

Downstream process development DSP is basically purification or filtering etc.

Upstream process development USP is basically when you get raw materials and make them react to produce a product. Which is purified by utilizing Downstream Process Development

Conductivity meters basically test solution for electrolytes

PH meters test for acidity or alkalinity of solutions

I know what your talking about, like dude said above memories those SOP's and use thw internet for help.

Ive worked for one for 8 years this august.

SOP standard operating procedure- Whatever task you do has a list of instructions for you to follow ( do not deviate from what is said on paper, can get you fired or prosecuted by the FDA)

GMP good manufacturing procedure. Basically working in a lab enviornment from cleaning to putting on sterile glove)

Downstream means the next part of the process or equipment that comes after another set of equipment. Upstream is the oppposite.

Cond. is the measure of electrical current through a liquid could be water or buffer. (each equipment has its own parameters)

pH is the alklinity or acidity of a liquid. Working in an biotech lab most will be neutral (b/t 5-7) hope this helps a little
