Im watching Kojack and he solved the murder of a former junkie turned hooker with a heart of gold.

Do these people really exist tho or is it some Hollywood troupe

I used to be an event manager for a food insecurity non profit and every now and then I would go work in the soup kitchen so I met plenty homeless people and addicts and got to know a lot.

There would be limits on the food you could get but if you were nice to me I’d look out and give you more.

This one addict was super cool every time he came in so I would try to give him all the food and he would always decline and take exactly the amount of food allowed. I asked him why he never takes it and he hit me with this and

There's TONS of functional junkies roaming the land. They do just as much normal, good stuff as the next person but they just get high on whatever behind closed doors. Being addicted to a hard drug is not this guaranteed 1 way ticket to a life of degeneracy that the media loves to project as a blanket statement to society. Some people can actually manage their addictions, however keep in mind I'm not advocating drug use.

And in my experience, I'd much rather deal with someone who's high off of a hard drug by itself than deal with a drunken drug addict or just a straight up drunk with no drugs in their system.

It's funny how the media would generally never let a story like that see the public light of day. Just blanket statements and images and zero nuance subscribed to the discussion on narcotics usage.

Majority of them I trust 90,,%
They are good people . It's nice to just sit and speak with them .

Yeah I know a few pill poppers. Its a shame cuz they were prescribed stuff for medical conditions then boom. I was hanging out with a friend yesterday, I hadn't seen her for a while so she was filling me in on how her husband separated due to her hiding usage and how she once developed gastroparesis due to it

She never did anything bad to anybody though.... at least not intentionally but im pretty sure drug use lead to collateral damage
