I live in Dallas right now, I might be transferring to Oklahoma City University next fall. I've been up there a few times, but I haven't really interacted with the people or been in the state long enough to truly know what it's like.
My mother is worried, she's under the impression that Texas is less racist than Oklahoma because it's more diverse down here. She thinks that just because the cacs who murdered James Byrd Jr. got the book thrown at them, it means that white supremacists are less likely to attack me here in Texas than in Oklahoma.
She's worried that I'm gonna go up to Oklahoma and end up dead because of what happened in Black Wall Street.
So, if anybody has been to Oklahoma for a period of times, lives/has lived there, knows someone up there, etc., do me a favor and answer these questions;
- What's the racial vibe like up there? Are white supremacists more aggressive or passive (like they are here in Texas)?
- What's the weather like up there? I know there's a shyt ton of tornadoes up there, but Dallas has had it's fair share of tornadoes so I'm not that worried about them.
- Is it really THAT
up there? 'Cause I'm hearing that half the population up there is Larry Holmes status.
- What is housing like up there? I heard it's actually not that expensive to get a decent home up there.
- And, most importantly, what are the broads like and what that thang smell like?
