Real blues is black blues.
SRV is white boy blues.

I'm not ready to cede the blues to white folks, even if the old heads who now make their money off white folks have to.

You can love white boy blues, just like folks can love blue eyed soul, honky tonk country and the mess that is currently rock. They're all valid art forms. But part of me refuses and will alway refuse to cede, because to cede allows the blues' history to become white history. It allows black to be buried, destroyed, disappeared, regurgitated, white washed, invalidated. We've already lost enough. Allow me this.

Why did you think that a(n allegedly) predominantly black board would not fukk with a black art form?

Why wouldn't blacks fukk with a black art form anymore?

Been into the blues since I was knee high, grandfather was a huge BB King fan. Saw Buddy Guy in concert one day, he came down from the stage in a zone on his guitar cord dragging behind him, there was so much energy in that room that night. Won tickets to see BB, unfortunately he got sick from food that night. Been a Stevie Ray fan since '98............
