I went to Bass Pro Shop yesterday with a friend of mine, and we were just looking around at random stuff and were surprised at how affordable a big Pontoon boat is.

Of course there are expensive ones, but one of them had leather seats/sofa and carpet and was only like $11,500. Payments would work out to be like $135 per month.

The only drawback would be having a place to keep it(tho you could rent a marina port for like $100 a month).

Looked kinda like this :

Hey jadillac have you ever gone on facebook and started liking sh1t ironically? I have. I have never liked anything, and like everyone else people add me and I barely know them. So now I'm just liking sh1t like an afghan on that purple purple. Some girl I don't know posts- 'i'm going to bed now'. Like. Someone that I definitely don't know and I'm not even a facebook friend replys- 'Sleep tight and may the angels watch over you'. Like. A girl I've never shared a word with posts a slutty pic of her looking like a dog licking out of the bowl and all that that entails. Like. Ha ha ha like motherfukkers. I like it ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL :krs:

Problem isn't the cost of the boat, it's the maintenance, you can easily spend $5K/yr on maintenance alone, especially if you're using it in mostly saltwater. Used to hook a friend up with a free dock in exchange for driving the boat around, that's why I know. I've seen him spend $3K cash one time when there was a crack in the hull. If you want to make money, get into boats. You can make $20/hr just painting boats.

Have worked in the boat repair/yacht industry for years, it's not a dead industry but it's dying...before the Recession, it was printing money, so much ot, so many yachts...Also, from that experience, boats are a terrible investment unless you have a lot of paper. Maintenance, storing will kill you. A pontoon boat like that would be a terrible investment.

Really?

I figured there was some maintenance but I didnt know what. However there's no saltwater lakes anywhere near me. Still seems like a good investment tho...

That boat I posted above is actually under $10,000.

Oh, and that photo ain't a boat, it's a raft with an engine :scusthov:
Looks good to me.

that low ass monthly payment you want:snoop: think about how long that would take to pay off.

If there's no saltwater you should be in luck. Oh, and please don't ever say boat and investment in the same sentence, it will never appreciate, and is only a luxury item. I would personally go with a sea-ray over the motorized life raft if you're looking for an entry level boat, but to each his own :manny:

The only thing better than owning a boat is having a best friend who owns a boat....

The two happiest days of a boat owner's life are the day he buys it and the day he sells it. Or so I hear.
