Awful gimmick. Such a dumb move to split those two. Out of all the tag teams in the WWF at the time (Hardyz, E&C, APA), splitting the dudleys did the most damage as neither of them were compelling enough to have a singles career. (esp Dvon as we are now witnessing in TNA) They never really recovered when they got back together.

looking back on it now it wasnt that bad, especially with him being vince mcmahons spirtual advisor and all, would work today with a reverend al sharpton gimmick

I remember.

It started to go downhill for D-Von when Batista started being the focal point, and D-Von would just be in his corner during matches.
