lately i had 2 disk drives (1TB+2TB HDD) die on me... i have more backups but ive been wanting to free up some disk space... so i decided to start burning dvd and blu-ray discs. ive had a burner for years but never really felt inclined to use it.
i picked up a samsung blu-ray player for 6.99 at the thrift store lol. i got 50 BD-R and 100 DVD-R for about 65 bucks all together. thats a ton of storage! i picked up a giant CD binder (you mighta had one in your car back in the day
) that can hold 100 discs
so here i am converting the files. im about to burn for the first time. shyt is fun honestly
obviously i shoulda done this like 15-20 years ago and sold them
but it'll be nice getting a terabyte of local storage back for sure.
