I'm pescatarian and I haven't eaten chicken or turkey in almost 2 years and haven't had beef in about 10 years and haven't had pork in about 16 years. The only thing I can say I probably miss is Turkey bacon but that's about it.

And I'm about to try this vegan bacon so :manny:

I haven't eaten meat since the beginning of this month and I really don't miss it at all and I generally feel more energetic and less sluggish, I only planned to stop for 1 week but now I'm going for the whole month.

I think for some people a vegetarian or pescetarian lifestyle has health benefits, but the majority of people will get their B vitamins, zinc, and iron much more effectively by eating meat. I try and pay attention as to what meat I get. I prefer grassfed meats. I eat a lot of fish also.

I don't think the average American diet needs as much meat as we consume but I don't see myself eliminating meat from my diet, but I will certainly eat a vegetarian meal every now and then.

I'm a pescatarian but yeah I still get cravings especially for pork.

I haven't been able to keep it going for more than 3 months at a time though. I imagine if I committed to 6 months-1 yr my cravings would go away.

I tried not eating meat for a while, didn't make life better for me. I should bring up though that I was never huge on red meat to begin with, so that was never a staple of my diet once I had the option of making my own food. A balanced diet of chicken, rice, and veggies has always made me feel the most energized and productive.
