I had that album way back when and loved it. Never knew it was Russ' nephew or that DR.Period and Rockwilder was behind the boards on it. Things that make you go hmmm.
That album dropped in the worst climate for something like they were attempting to present. I had the cassette and liked it, but it was competing with some serious albums. Rae dropped, Nas, Snoop, Outkast, Biggie etc.. Not to mention as someone stated previously, they got compared to Gravediggaz which in itself is a tough act to follow.
edit post: I'm probably wrong, but I could have sworn Flatlinerz album dropped before Gravediggaz, but people were anticipating Gravediggaz so it made Flatlinerz look like they were immitators.
I miss production like that, that cd the flatinerz was produced great
estranged nephew too..his crew got signed in spite of being related. Redrum and Russ didn't know eachother.
Redrum and Grave Digger were sick ass emcees. Tempest wasn't bad or nothing either.
