I never thought I would ask the Coli for Resume advice but the State DOL out here in the City just announced that we will be doing a round of layoffs over the next two months.

:whoa: Now to be fair your boy hasn’t been laid off yet but I’m pretty sure I’m next during the September round since one of the Developmental Economist supervisor just got slashed and we’re below them.

I haven’t updated my Resume in five years ( I always knew somebody if I really needed work) but this coronavirus is crazy and every other transferable Department is also going through cuts in the coming months.

Just some quick facts:

-My Resume is only one page (I’m not sure if I want it to be longer)

-I’m open to remote working since I’ve been doing that for the last two months so the transition is fine.

-Would prefer to stay in Government but Private is fine as well.

-open to criticism but I haven’t been resume building in years so let’s not stone a nikka.

-If anybody works for the State DOL, Fed, NYS Reserve, ETC I would greatly appreciate how you guys are handling this.

Resume reads like a new grads when you're clearly a middle experience candidate.

They don't care bout your interests in anime or your clubs from school etc. So remove that. Education below your work experience. Talk up your achievements in your work section with measurable statements "I saved the company x amount of dollars by doing y"

Hope that helps breh
